John Lennon
John Lennon was one of the founders of the Beatles and he wrote the song called 'imagine'.
He formed one of the most celebrated songwriting partnerships with Paul McCartney. He was a successful and peaceful musician.

His life
He was born in Liverpool on October 9, 1940 and he was an only child.
His parents died when he was 17. His first band was called The Quarrymen, named after his school.
After he finished school, he met Stuart Sutcliffe. Stuart Sutcliffe joined the band with Pete Best, the new drummer, and came up with a new name for the band, the Beatles.
The Beatles became famous and moved to New Work
In 1963, John and his new wife Cynthia had a son called Julian.
The Beatles was the world's biggest band and John Lennon and McCartney's songwriting skills were developing rapidly. John married again and he wrote many songs like 'imagine' in 1971.
He finished his life in Dakota. John was shot four times in his back.
